Beeline Drive is lined up with Runway 10/28 (formerly 9R/27L) at O'Hare International Airport. The FAA and the City of Chicago renamed the runway as part of the phased re-designation progam to accommodate pilots as they adjust to the development of new runways. Former Runway 9R/27L was renamed Runway 10/28 on July 5, 2007. The existing Runway 9L/27R was then renamed to Runway 9R/27L. A far north parallel Runway 9L/27R is planned for commission on November 2008. Eventually by the end of 2011 O'Hare International Airport will have four parallel east-west runways, tow on the north side of the main terminal and two on the south. Northside east-west parallel runways are named 9L-27R and 9R-27L. Southside east-west parallel runways are named 10L-28R and 10R-28L.
